Education at Work
Education at Work is a contract service offered to businesses and other non-profit organizations. It provides basic education and GED instruction to employees of companies who need to improve their skills. It also teaches the clients of other non-profits, helping those clients to succeed in the programs in which they are enrolled.
Education at Work helps companies to be more effective and profitable; it helps non-profit organizations achieve greater success for their clients.
Project Learn has operated Education at Work since 1991. It has taught employees in thirty different companies, from manufacturing to hospitals to nursing homes. It has also worked with eight different partner non-profits on projects ranging from employment training to vocational rehabilitation. At present Education at Work is teaching at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, Vocational Guidance Services and St. Vincent Charity Medical Center.
